2025 Movies: Part 1

So, I guess it’s time for me to do my year end lists for 2025. I unfortunately will not be doing a worst list this year due to me not seeing enough bad movies last year to make a full list. So we’re just gonna do the same thing I did for 2023, which is rank every single movie I’ve seen from worst to best. However, considering I saw 50 movies last year, I will not be doing full commentaries on all of them. For today, I will reveal my rankings from 50 to 18 and say a quick little thought for each. Obviously 10 to 1 will have full commentaries while 17 to 11 are my honorable mentions. Let’s get to it;

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
