Plankton Review

 


Saving Bikini Bottom kickstarted a series of spinoff movies centered on other characters aside from Spongebob himself. Sheldon J. Plankton is our next subject. In this film, Plankton and Spongebob find themselves having to save the world from Karen after she goes berserk having had enough of Plankton's inconsiderate nature. 

Plankton was remarkably better than Saving Bikini Bottom. It's nothing amazing but it does show improvement. I like that we got a backstory on Plankton's history with Karen, It really added complexity to their relationship and even provides some incite on Plankton's obsession with the Krabby Patty formula. The music was decent, not great but not bad to the point where it got annoying or mediocre (unlike Moana 2). The ridiculousness of the music just worked. I also like the animation and lack of live-action characters (I'm looking at YOU Wanda Sykes😒).

In terms of flaws, we did not see much of Spongebob's recurring cast with the exception of Sandy, Pearl, Mrs. Puff and Patrick. Mr. Krabs had some moments, but just barely, while Squidward had little to no role in this movie aside from small appearances. So yeah, that was an issue.

But overall, this movie was actually pretty good. Thanks For Reading

Deadpool: Marvel's Favorite Idiot

  Deadpool & Wolverine was probably the most anticipated movie of the year. With Disney taking over Fox and Deadpool joining the MCU , the time has finally come for the finishing result. Wade Wilson (portrayed of course by Ryan Reynolds) is offered to be taken out of his dimension in favor of the MCU. The only problem is his dimension is in the process of disintegration after the evens of Logan (😢) and Tom Wambsgans- I mean Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) decides to end its misery and destroy it instead of waiting for the inevitable. Obviously this doesn't sit well with Wade, so he turns to a more incompetent version of Wolverine (one deemed the "worst" Wolverine) to help save his dimension.  This movie was exactly what a Deadpool movie needs to be, stupid as HELL. Deadpool remains an idiot and his dynamic with Wolverine was very well paced. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's chemistry was very good and surprisingly very balanced. Both characters had their fair-sh...

Top 10 Signature Songs

  You know how an artists has that one song that pretty much defines their career and who they are as an artist? This is a list of those songs. Please keep in mind that just because an artist and their song is on the list doesn’t mean I like the song or the artist (especially the artist). It just means that I acknowledge the impact and importance of the song and/or artist. One song per artist. #10: The Real Slim Shady- Eminem Technically speaking, Lose Yourself is more notable than The Real Slim Shady . But I feel like this song really set the standard on who Eminem is as an artist. He pretty much hit the jackpot when coming up with such an iconic nickname, and Eminem presents it with so much personality, style, rhythm and aggression that it just works.
