Freakier Friday Review

Loved Freaky Friday as a kid, but I wasn't really sure how to feel about a sequel when this was announced. Lindsey Lohan is obviously no longer a child. She is now a single mom to Harper and of course Jamie Lee Curtis helps out. Things get complicated when Lohan becomes engaged to the father of a classmate whom Harper despises. An encounter with a fortune teller of course results in a body-switch, but this time instead of just Curtis and Lohan, Harper and her future step-sister join the party.

I wasn't sure about this movie, but I ended up enjoying it a lot. It was incredibly fun and it knew what the viewers wanted. Lohan and Curtis pretty much carried this movie, their chemistry has not lost its touch and It was great to see them interact again. Also, Lohan looks FANTASTIC, glad to see she's doing better. Butters and Hammons also held their own as well and Chad Michael Murray was also entertaining.

This movie was pure nostalgia. Not just through returning cast members (like Pink Slip), but the movie as a whole felt like a love letter to fans of the movie. It's obvious that the cast and crew of this film deeply cherishes the fans and this was a perfect way of paying tribute to them.

So yeah, thumbs up for Freakier Friday. Thanks For Reading

First Day Of 2024/2025 Awards Race

It is about that time of year again where Hollywood gives out its most prestigious awards to most of the time the least deserving. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna pay attention like always. But this year we will be shaking things up a little. Allow me to explain; Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. However, this year instead of focusing on just the target, I will also be focusing on those I think are frontrunners in different categories for the season as a whole, whether I'm rooting for them or not.  I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS. The Awards: We will be focusing on 5 awards; -The Golden Globes -The BAFTA's -The Critics Choice -The SAG Awards and Of Cour...

Red One & The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I present to you, a Christmas Double Review. Red One centers on The Rock and Captain America trying to find J.K. Simmons (Santa) after he's been kidnapped. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever  is obviously based on the book of the same name and of course involves throwing a Christmas pageant with some of the worst kids in existence.  Red One This was a very strange movie. I don't hate it as much as others do, but I see why people hate it. I will admit there were some parts that were a little too ridiculous and I didn't laugh as much as I would've liked. Also, with all due respect to Kiernan Shipka, she was not a good casting for the main villain. Her performance just didn't work for me. She wasn't intimidating at all, and she still looks like a child. I'm sorry but I just could not take her seriously. But I also feel it had some heartwarming moments as well, particularly involving Chris Evans' character and his son. I wouldn't say this movie was good, bu...
