Oscars & Awards Race Recap

The entire race was very disappointing and a complete and total waste. But I will give a quick congrats to the cast and crew of Oppenheimer, which won Best Picture and many other awards last night. Very well deserved. That's pretty much it and let's see what happens next year. Thanks For Reading.

Awards Race Recap So Far

With the Oscars around the corner, I might as well give a brief recap on the race so far Golden Globes- Loss Critics Choice- Won BAFTAs- Loss Not really looking forward to the Oscars next weekend. Thanks for reading.

BAFTA's Recap

Last night was a loss, which is ironic considering ATSV kicked butt at the Annie's (major award for animation) the day before, whereas The Boy & The Heron was victorious last night. I still stand by what I said on my last awards race post, I would've been even more nervous if it had won yesterday. Though I am still very nervous now. We've got at least 2-3 weeks until the Oscars and I'm expecting anything to happen. Thanks for reading.

BAFTA Final Thoughts

BAFTA's are tomorrow. I mentioned about a month ago that I will be more nervous if ATSV wins then if it loses as this is it's last major award show before the Oscars. I expect pretty much anything to happen tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

BAFTA Nominations

So ATSV received 2 nominations, including one with The Boy & The Heron . Strangely, I'll be even more nervous if Spider-Verse  wins than if it loses. Mainly because this is the last award show before the Oscars. Not the mention, their nominations come out next Tuesday. I guess we'll see what happens.

Critics Choice Recap

Critics Choice was a success. Next is the BAFTAs, which releases it's nominations on Thursday, though the actual event isn't until next month. And of course, the Oscar nominations come out next Tuesday. Thanks for reading.

Critics Choice Final Thoughts

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow and I don't expect any good results at all. I know that's sounds pessimistic, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. If I'm proven wrong that may change, but even saying that annoys me because that's basically getting my hopes up. Thank you.

A Very Brief Globes Recap

Okay this is going to be very brief because I'm tired and this has been a very long weekend (work, church, birthday party). Plus I need to put together my Movies Of 2023 list (which might be posted tomorrow). Last night was disappointing and I'm not looking forward to next week (Critics Choice). Thanks for reading.

Golden Globes Final Thoughts

For those of you who didn't read these last year, normally the day before the award show, I like to briefly express last minute thoughts. I refuse to say ATSV is gonna win, mainly because I might get my hopes up over nothing, ITSV was already an awards darling, and I'm extremely worried about The Boy & The Heron, which is kind of silent but deadly. This is also a more competitive year in animation than 2018. ITSV was an easy win, but ATSP may not be. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

Critics Choice Thoughts

So the Critics Choice nominations just came out today, and once again ATSV got more nominations than expected. Also like last time, it got 3 nominations, including Animated Feature. However, unlike last time, It's only competing with The Boy & The Heron in 1 category. I'm more at ease for this one than I am for the Golden Globes , because at least I can tell that it has a bigger chance at winning in this than the Golden Globes . Thanks For Reading.

First Day Of 2023/2024 Awards Race

My football season has officially begun. Awards and nominations are being given out to some of the biggest movies of the year (whether some deserve it or not), and I'm wasting no time keeping track on the big ones. For those who didn't read last year's, around this time of year I like to track down the important movie awards and speak on my thoughts. Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. If the subject is snubbed in that particular award show, it will be skipped. I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS. The Awards While last year there was 5 award shows, this year I will only be doing 4: - The Golden Globes -The Critics Choice -The BAFTAs and of course -The Oscars   Again,

Oscars And Award Season Reflection/Goodbye

Last night was disappointing. I'm proud of Austin regardless and I'm happy for Fraser. Plus I pretty much knew that anything would happen at this point. So I guess that's it, no more award season. This did not end the way I'd hoped, but overall I had a good time doing this. So with that being said, see ya next year!

Oscar Final Thoughts

This is the most terrified I've felt through out the entire season. I wouldn't be surprised if he was too. Regardless of what happens, I'm proud of him. Good luck to Austin and everyone participating tomorrow night (expect Jimmy Kimmel).

Awards Race Recap So Far

So far this entire race has been up and down. With the Oscars just 2 days away, I figured now would be a good time to recap the race before the ultimate prize.  So here's the summary: Golden Globes- Win Critics Choice- Loss (To Fraser) BAFTA- Win SAG- Loss (To Fraser) As you can see, it has been back and forth between Austin and Fraser. It's pretty neck-&-neck between the 2.  There's not really much else I need to say. So......... I'll see y'all tomorrow for my final reflection

SAGs Reflection

So unfortunately, last night was a loss. I did say anything could happen, and we are now down to 2 wins and 2 losses. This is it, the Oscars are coming, and it's about to go DOWN! Just like last night, anything can happen. Also, shout out to Austin for being such a gentleman last night.

SAGs Final Thoughts

This is the last major award show before the Oscars. After Austin's surprise win at the BAFTAs, I'm really not sure what's gonna happen tommorow. Pretty much anything could happen at this point. Good Luck Austin.

Late BAFTA Reflectiton

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really did not think he was gonna win. And honestly, it looked like he didn't think he was gonna win either, which makes this even more sweet. I still won't say he's gonna win the Oscar, but I will say his chances might be higher now. But it all depends on how the SAGs next week will go.

BAFTA Final Thoughts

So the awards race starts back up tomorrow with the BAFTAs. Unlike the last 2 awards, I won't be able to watch this one as I have no access to the show. So I have to look up the results online. I still don't want to say that Austin's a front runner, but we'll see what happens tomorrow.
