For me personally last night was kind of mixed. Most of the results were exactly what I expected, others were surprising, and several were extremely annoying. But at the end of the day, KPop received both of their wins as expected (and deserved), and quick little shout out to F1 for its win. Anyway, that's the end of the awards race. Oscars are tomorrow, not looking forward to them. After the SAG awards, I'm fully expecting them to be annoying aside from KPop receiving their flowers. That's pretty much all I've got to say. My thoughts on the SAGs is pretty much the same as the BAFTAs. I don't have to watch them due to KPop not participating, but I will watch them anyway. That's pretty much all I have to say. Well for starters, the only reason Zootopia won was because KPop wasn't eligible, so its win means nothing. Even with KPop 's ineligibility, the voices of Huntrix performed at the ceremony which says a lot. I also think Robert Aramayo's win is irrelevant as well and that Timothée Chalamet is still in the lead. Now If Michael B. Jordan won, then I would be a little worried. Best Supporting Actress is now officially anybody's game after Wunmi Mosaku's win last night. Still rooting for Amy Madigan.  Thanks For Reading.   Due to KPop being snubbed, I do not really have to watch the BAFTA's. But I also have to remember that I'm not focusing on only one movie anymore. Golden did receive 1 win last night. It was not for the category I was hoping for, but it's still a win. Bad Bunny was very successful last night, which I did see coming. But the real highlight for me personally was Jelly Roll's win and him giving praise to Jesus. I love Jelly Roll. Anyway, that's it for awards until the Baftas.   I actually forgot that the Grammys were tomorrow. My hope for Golden is that it gets at least 1 win tomorrow. KPop was declared ineligible for the Baftas, so technically I don't have to speak on the nominations. Adding to that, I'm not even sure if I have access to watching them. The Oscar nominations are OUT! I am relieved to see that KPop has received their nominations and there were even some surprises as well. For example, F1 has been nominated for Best Picture . Did not see that coming, but I'm delighted with this news😊. I'm also glad to see that Train Dreams was able to sneak into the Best Picture category. Same can't be said for Joel Edgerton however as sadly he did not receive a nomination. Amanda Seyfried also surprisingly got snubbed. But the biggest surprise; Wicked: For Good has been completely shut out by the Academy😱. That is INSANE, and awesome, but mostly insane. Paul Mescal has also been snubbed. Oh Well🤷🏾‍♀️. KPop is once again victorious. It did lose 1 of its nominations (out of 3, won 2), but I knew it was going to lose that one anyway. Plus it's not an important (or well thought out) category in my opinion. There were some slightly different results yesterday, namely in the "Supporting" performances category. So I guess this is now anyone's game in terms of that category. Due to Comedy/Musical and Drama being separated, I'm kind of shocked that Sinners did not win a major award for its respective genre. It won for "Score" and "Cinematic/Box-Office Achievement", both categories I find insignificant. I thought Jordan would would win his nomination, but they ended up giving it to Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent . The movie also ended up losing Drama as a whole to Hamnet , which I believe is more deserving. Surprising, but also satisfying. Anyway, Oscar noms are next. Thanks For Reading. Success! KPop won for both its categories.   Kpop got both its nominations, thank God. In other news, Smashing Machine and  Springsteen finally received recognition, but for acting. White and The Rock were nominated for there performances along with Emily Blunt. Erivo wasn't snubbed this time and once again, Ann Lee and Avatar did not receive as much love as expected. Oh well.   So Kpop received 2 nominations, for both Golden and the film itself, congrats Ejae. In terms of surprises, The Smashing Machine did not receive a lot of love. I'm aware that critics were not as pleased with the film as expected (me included), but I assumed that the industry would make it a big awards contender regardless. Obviously I was wrong. For Springsteen , again I am well aware that the reactions were more mixed, but like Smashing Machine I assumed that Hollywood would give White and Strong recognition either way. But neither of them received a nomination. I am also pleasantly surprised to see that Erivo has been "snubbed"😂.   So if anyone remembers from last year, I stopped doing the awards race commentaries mid-way through due to personal reasons. And for a while I considered no longer doing the awards race commentaries period. My respect for my current target is the only reason I’m even giving this another go. Due to my target making a HUGE impact on both music and film this year, I have decided to start a little early and add an extra award. But for this year only. Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. I will also be focusing on those I think are frontrunners in different categories for the season as a whole, whether I'm rooting for them or not.  I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS. The Awards; ...

  So Conclave 's got the most nominations, Denzel got shut out, and Chu was also not recognized. I am officially removing Angelina Jolie from the frontrunners due to another certain movie that I will not disclose.  We might be stuck in the award season a little longer than I would like obviously due to the wildfires going on in Southern California. Critics Choice was postponed till next month, the Oscars postponed their nominations announcement twice and might possibly get canceled. The SAG nominations have just been announced. Several surprises; the first being Denzel did not get a nomination, and another being The Brutalist 's exclusion from the  Outstanding Performance By A Cast   category in favor of  A Complete Unknown. Though it did receive a Lead Actor nomination for Brody. A Complete Unknown was fine, but I do not believe the cast was strong enough to get that nomination. The film mainly relied on Chalamet (who received a nomination himself). The Substance was excluded from that category too, but it mainly relies on Moore (who got her nomination) and  Margaret Qualley, so I don't think it needs one. I'm not really surprised at Dune being excluded since its main strong point is its craft.  Isabella Rossellini and Angelina Jolie were also excluded. To be honest, I think Jolie's buzz is winding down. And from what it looks like, Challengers was completely excluded from the show, which is AWESOME! There is no animation category. Th...

So, last night was slightly surprising. Both bad and good surprises (and okay). Demi Moore's, Adrien Brody's, and Flow 's win were unexcepted for me. Flow 's especially, because I was so sure it would go to The Wild Robot . For Moore, I expected her to lose to either Madison or Erivo, while I was sure that Brody would lose to Domingo. In terms of bad surprises, Wicked did not deserve that box-office win. It probably should've gone to either Inside Out or Deadpool . Culkin won like I knew he would, so there's that.  There are 2 new frontrunners that I would like to call out;   Emilia Perez                            Flow I actually forgot to mention this one                         This movie is now an issue That's it for now.
