Nae's Not Like You

I honestly forgot about these songs when making my last music review post, so here they are now;   The Subway - Chappell Roan God-honest truth, I was not terribly impressed with The Subway . I didn't hate it, I just did not connect with the melody like I did with Good Luck Babe and Pink Pony Club . However, I love Roan's vocals, I've always liked her voice and how well it goes with her style of music. So I guess that's my highlight for this song.   Abracadabra - Lady Gaga Honestly, I wasn't super impressed with this song either, but it was entertaining. It's definitely reminiscent of old Gaga material. This is competing against Midnight Sun in a category at the Grammys, and its gonna win. But in terms of personal preference, in my opinion Midnight Sun is better (no its not because of my sister).   So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized.   Because I was getting impatient on the possibility of this taking a #1 spot, I decided to give a quick thought on another song from KPop Demon Hunters ;   Soda Pop - The Saja Boys Like Golden , this song also grew on me over time. It does have an annoyingly catchy vibe, but in a good way. Also like Golden , the songwriters clearly knew how to appeal to audiences. And while I do like Golden more, I feel like Soda Pop used its annoyingly catchy vibe to its advantage, which make since considering the Saja Boys are the antagonists and trying to steal people's souls. While most songs I listened to this year I learned about through Billboard , these ones I randomly heard about through the internet without properly reviewing them like I usually do. So, here's their reviews now;   Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter Yeah, I'm a little late in reviewing this. I don't love the song, but I understand why people love the song. It is incredibly fun, the beat will get you pumped, and the lyrics are actually pretty catchy. The song itself just explodes with personality and it shows how Carpenter finally found her ground with what type of artist she is. So I see why it's popular.     Beautiful Things - Benson Boone What pleases me the most about this song is that I'm pleasantly surprised that American Idol alumni Benson Boone was actually able to make a name for himself unlike most now a days. Good for him.  And every now and then I have a soft spot for Alternative Rock type songs, this is pretty much the case with this one. I like this ...
