Avatar 3 Review

Thank God we did not have to wait another decade for this one. Though I am aware that this franchise is far from over. Obviously taking off after the previous film, Jake and his family (who are currently in mourning) are still dealing with Quaritch. And to make matters even worse, he's got a new friend; a psychotic Na'vi leader by the name of Varang.

To my surprise, this selection in the franchise fixed some issues from Way Of The Water, notably Spider. The previous film did not know what to do with Spider, but this movie gave him more to do and made him relatively interesting and I really applaud it for that. We also see some growth in Lo'ak and Kiri, with Lo'ak I found significantly less stupid in this than his first appearance (which makes sense considering the tragic circumstances of his brother), and Kiri becoming more independent and developing into her own person. Varang is completely INSANE and a very good match for Quaritch, and I am TERRIFIED to see what she does next (assuming she's in the next one). Other highlights for the film include the visuals (Duh), the performances, and the fight scenes.

Flaws; obviously the runtime is a problem. 3 hours and 15 minutes, really😒? I also will admit that the franchise is starting to feel very repetitive. I'm not sure what more they can do with Quaritch (aside from giving him a love interest of course). He  needs to either A; die in the next one or B; turn to the good side, adding more meat to Varang's arch.

This is not out of bitterness, but I do also suggest they "mercy kill" Neytiri. And I call that mercy because the woman has already lost her dad and her son. She was kind of a hypocrite in this (with all due respect) and Cameron should be used to mercilessly killing people in this franchise anyway, so just a suggestion.

3 down, 2 more to go. Thanks For Reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
