I didn't expect much from Elio aside from it being cute, probably heartwarming and decently animated. After losing his parents, a pre-teen boy finds himself living with his aunt. Feeling that he doesn't belong, our titular character aspires to be abducted by aliens, and surprisingly received his wish. The only problem is they believe him to be the ambassador of Earth.
The movie was pretty much everything I expected; decent enough but nothing special. The story was sweet, but I feel like it's average in terms of Pixar standards. I felt the writers did not really push the boundaries of creativity and cohesiveness like the studio did last year with Inside Out 2 or like it used to do during the glory days. But it was cute, I did like the film as a whole. Its strong points were the score, the visuals (in space especially), and Glordon, he was ADORABLE!🥰
But other than that, the movie was just meh. Thanks For Reading
