Possibly The Best Animated Movie Of The Year (Sorry Inside Out)

I think pretty much everyone knew that The Wild Robot would be something to talk about after witnessing the animation on the trailer. An abandoned robot lands on a deserted island and quickly learns the harsh realities of the wilderness. But she is daunted the ultimate task when she adopts an orphaned goose, whom she names Brightbill.

This movie was very sweet. Obviously the animation is the movie's strongest point, but I was very impressed with the writing. I was surprised by how dark the humor was, though it made since considering this is the wilderness we're talking about. And watching the titular character adjust to the wild and motherhood was hilarious, sweet, and even heartbreaking at times. It's pretty much what made the animals finally coming together so poignant and effective. Though I'm not the best person to judge because I'm not a mother, the film's portrayal of parenthood is incredibly realistic and even made me tear-up a little bit. I do believe the writing on this is stronger than Inside Out's, but only by a grain of salt as Inside Out's writing is incredibly strong.

The score behind this movie is gorgeous. Sometimes a little over the top, but it works for this type of movie. The voice acting was very good, with some standouts being Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, and Stephanie Hsu (I didn't even realize that voice acting king Mark Hamill was in it). Obviously we half to talk about Lupita Nyong'o. Her performance was unique in my opinion as she brought so much emotion with a relatively monotone demeaner. That can't be easy to pull off, but Nyong'o did it and I salute to her.

The only flaw I have with this movie is that we didn't really see much of the villain. She was very creepy, Stephanie Hsu did a very good job, and I feel like the movie kind of wasted the character's potential. But other than that, the movie was very good and I highly recommend it. Thanks for reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
