I'm am not a He-Man fan nor am I a She-Ra fan. I actually tried to watch the original She-Ra TV series but lost interest and I don't care enough to watch the reboot. Aside from this movie, I have never watched anything directly linked to He-Man. Adam Glenn is sent to live with us after his planet is attacked by Skeletor. Unfortunately as he's being transported, he loses the "Sword Of Power", for 15 years🤦🏾♀️.
This movie was stupid in all the best ways possible. I won't deny that the movie was pretty cheesy and the writing was relatively bland. But it makes up for it with its natural charm and light-hearted demeanor. The movie is just so fun that you can't help but laugh with it. I'm also surprised that I got secondhand embarrassment from He-Man himself. He was kind of a loser, but also likeable and easy to root for (and attractive I admit). Teela and Duncan were also cool as well, and Skeletor was surprisingly hilarious.
Other highlights included the action scenes. Pretty much all the fights in this movie were great, and I enjoyed pretty much all of them. They were over the top, but that works for this type of movie. The visuals were also pretty solid. Eternia looks gorgeous (before it was taken over by Skeletor anyway).
Was this movie great, no. But was it a good time, indeed. Thanks For Reading.
