Big Releases For June 2026

New month, new movies;

 Masters Of The Universe- Friday

This to me looks kind of stupid, but I'm still interested in seeing it. Granted, I don't expect it to actually be good, but maybe it'll prove me wrong. Part of me does think it might do well with audiences, but you never really know. As for critics, I have no idea.

 Scary Movie- Friday

I'm not seeing this. I've seen at least one trailer and found it annoying, so I'll give this a pass. I've also seen at least 2 movies in this franchise. Both were idiotic in a good way. I do see this also doing well at the box office, though I'm not super sure with critics.

 Disclosure Day- June 12

I'm also not seeing this as I don't trust the possibly toxic messaging that I'm assuming it will send towards anyone like me. Because this is Steven Spielberg, this is probably gonna do fine with critics. But the box-office is up in the air.

 Toy Story 5- Juneteenth (June 19)
Also not seeing this. I haven't even seen Toy Story 4, I'm not wasting my time on this. I've only ever seen critics hate on a Toy Story movie one time, so that happening again in my opinion is highly unlikely. We'll see how the audience feels though.

 Supergirl- June 26
Given that I backed out on Superman at the last minute, it should come as no surprise that I will not be seeing this either. And given the not so great stories that have come out about this movie, I'm not really sure how it's gonna do on either side.

Other notable movies include Stop! That! Train!, and The Invite. Still debating on whether or not I want to see either of those movies. Thanks For Reading

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

So.......The Bride😕

So I was completely off-track with The Bride . Did not expect the film to crash and burn as hard as it did with both critics AND the box-office. After getting murdered, a woman by the name of Ida is brought back to life with the intention of being a companion to the oh-so iconic Frankenstein. And together they wreck havoc. Like Wuthering Heights , the movie wasn't terrible but it had a lot of problems. The biggest issue with this film is that it tries way too hard to be edgy and it just doesn't work. It wanted to be this hardcore feminist take on Frankenstein , but it just felt convoluted and slightly underwritten. It had this plotline involving Ida causing some revolution for women and did pretty much nothing with it until the last minute. It was kind of a let down. The best thing about the movie however was the performances and chemistry between Buckley and Christian Bale. I thought they were strangely endearing, and this might be a better love story than Wuthering Heights  (...
