Mario #2

Previously On The Super Mario Bros. Movie; our favorite Italian-American brothers were accidently sent to another world and had to deal with the oh-so iconic Bowser. Now Bowser's son Bowser Jr. has entered the game and has kidnapped Princess Rosalina in an effort to drain her powers and destroy the universe in his dad's honor.

As a spectator, this movie was great. The animation was GORGEROUS and probably the best I've seen from this studio. Well Done Illumination, I'm Impressed👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. The fight scenes in this one were also a standout, possibly better than the previous one. And as I did with Chris Pratt for the previous film (he once again delivered with this as well), I would like to quickly applaud Benny Safdie and Donald Glover (the latter I DESPISE) for their voice performances as Bowser Jr. and Yoshi.

As a critic, the movie had a lot of writing errors. What was the point of Bowser's sort-of redemption arch If he was just going to revert back to his normal self by the end? There wasn't even a major reason for him to stay evil aside from his son I guess "reminding" him who he is. Now if something bad had happened to Bowser Jr., then it would've made since. But they just threw his redemption arch away for no reason. Yoshi was pretty useless in this movie, I'm surprised we didn't see Donkey Kong, and my sister was not a fan of the thrown in connection between Rosalina and Peach.

There were issues, but all I expected this movie to be was fun and entertaining. And for that, I give it a thumbs up. Thanks For Reading

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
