American Idol 2026 Day 4: 90s Judges' Song Contest

So I guess last week had a voting glitch, so the remainder of eliminated contestants was revealed last night. For some strange reason, the judge's choice this year was 90s themed. Unnecessary, but okay.

We lost another 3 people and they are as follows;

Jake Thistle- don't care

Julián Kalel- sweet kid, generic voice

Jesse Findling- should've been saved

Ranking Time!

#11: Hannah Harper

Heads Carolina, Tails California- Jo Dee Messina
She's done better

#10: Chris Tungseth

I'll Be- Edwin McCain
He seemed shaky to me for some reason

#9: Lucas Leon

It's Your Love- Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
Meh as always

#8: Rae

Love Will Lead You Back- Taylor Dayne
Mixed. Probably should've gone home

#7: Daniel Stallworth

It Ain't Over Til It's Over- Lenny Kravitz
Foul note at the very end

#6: Philmon Lee

Hard To Handle- The Black Crows
Last week was better

#5: Jordan McCollough

Always Be My Baby- Mariah Carey
Another one with a foul note

#4: Brooks

Linger- The Cranberries
We had 2 Cranberry songs last night actually

#3: Braden Rumfelt

All By Myself- Celine Dion
Really scared for that high note

#2: Kyndal

Iris- Goo Goo Dolls
Good song for her

Best Performance: Keyla Richardson

Zombie- The Cranberries
Again🤷🏾‍♀️

To be honest, Keyla and Kyndal were neck and neck. Keyla only topped by the skin of her teeth. Thanks For Reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
