Goat Review

Sony is definitely under a lot of pressure right now, given last year's surprise success with KPop Demon Hunters and of course the high anticipation of BTSV, which is currently due to be released a year and 4 months from now. Goat is somewhat of a make or break situation. The movie centers on Will Harris, a young goat with a goal to become THE Goat.

I did not need this movie to be great, just at least good. Thankfully it was. It wasn't anything special, but it was also far from bad as well. I found Will to be a very endearing protagonist and a lot of the character designs were memorable and well crafted. Though not a major factor of this film, the movie also had a few jokes that were EXTREMELY realistic portrayals of social media. The writing for this movie was not particularly strong, but that aspect of the writing was eerily effective. I of course liked the animation, and the world building of this film was also a strong aspect.

One issue I did have with the film is that it was slightly too fast-paced and did not flesh out or spread out the story enough. It was also extremely over the top at times, which is something you need to be careful with when using this type of animation. I also feel like both antagonists were underused.

With that being said, I enjoyed the movie for what it was. Does it ease my fears for next year, HELL NO! But I did not think it would anyway. Thanks For Reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

American Idol 2025 Day 2: Top 24

I would like to say that for the first week of live shows, a good majority of contestants either did REALLY good or better than they should have. I personally was very impressed with the last 2 days. With that being said, I still gotta rank. Today I will be ranking every single performance from worst to best. This ranking is solely based on my opinion. If you have not read last week's introduction, I highly suggest you read that first before this ranking;   Worst Performance Of The Week:  Baylee Littrell Happy - Pharrell This really kills me. Not sure what he was thinking with this song choice #23: Josh King I'm Still Standing - Elton John Him and Baylee equally sucked. But at least this song was more in Josh's league #22: Olivier Bergeron   I'm Not Okay - Jelly Roll He's kind of bland to me #21: Desmond Roberts Do I Do - Stevie Wonder Needs to calm down a little #20: John Foster Callin' Baton Rouge - Various Also kind of bland #19: Kyana Fanene I Am - St...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
