My Very First Frankenstein Movie

For a while this was my most anticipated movie of the year until I saw trailers for F1. As you can tell by the title of this post, I have never seen a single Frankenstein movie. The main reason I wanted to see this is because of  Mr. del Toro and how amazed I was by Pinocchio. A tale semi-old as time, douchebag surgeon Victor Frankenstein swears to "overcome death" by reanimating a corpse after witnessing the death of his mother.

I wasn't as amazed by the movie as I would've liked, but it was good. Its biggest strongpoints were the acting, cinematography, and settings. The titular character's transition from the douchebag scientist who believed he could play God to the sick regretful loser we see by the movie's end was relatively smooth. Pretty much everyone in the movie did a good job, but Jacob Elordi was FANTASTIC and was pretty much the best thing about the movie. I was already well aware he could act thanks to bits and pieces of Euphoria. But his animalistic but gentle, almost baby-like portrayal of the monster (or the creature in this case) was kind of brilliant. I was very impressed.

So yeah, I'm good with the movie. Thanks For Reading

First Day Of 2024/2025 Awards Race

It is about that time of year again where Hollywood gives out its most prestigious awards to most of the time the least deserving. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna pay attention like always. But this year we will be shaking things up a little. Allow me to explain; Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. However, this year instead of focusing on just the target, I will also be focusing on those I think are frontrunners in different categories for the season as a whole, whether I'm rooting for them or not.  I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS. The Awards: We will be focusing on 5 awards; -The Golden Globes -The BAFTA's -The Critics Choice -The SAG Awards and Of Cour...

Red One & The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I present to you, a Christmas Double Review. Red One centers on The Rock and Captain America trying to find J.K. Simmons (Santa) after he's been kidnapped. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever  is obviously based on the book of the same name and of course involves throwing a Christmas pageant with some of the worst kids in existence.  Red One This was a very strange movie. I don't hate it as much as others do, but I see why people hate it. I will admit there were some parts that were a little too ridiculous and I didn't laugh as much as I would've liked. Also, with all due respect to Kiernan Shipka, she was not a good casting for the main villain. Her performance just didn't work for me. She wasn't intimidating at all, and she still looks like a child. I'm sorry but I just could not take her seriously. But I also feel it had some heartwarming moments as well, particularly involving Chris Evans' character and his son. I wouldn't say this movie was good, bu...
