First Day Of 2025/2026 Awards Race

So if anyone remembers from last year, I stopped doing the awards race commentaries mid-way through due to personal reasons. And for a while I considered no longer doing the awards race commentaries period. My respect for my current target is the only reason I’m even giving this another go. Due to my target making a HUGE impact on both music and film this year, I have decided to start a little early and add an extra award. But for this year only.

Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. I will also be focusing on those I think are frontrunners in different categories for the season as a whole, whether I'm rooting for them or not. I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS.

The Awards;

For this year only, we will be focusing on 6 awards;

-The Grammys
-The Golden Globes
-The BAFTA's
-The Critics Choice
-The SAG Awards

and Of Course

-The Oscars

The Target

The targets will be a movie or an actor/actress that I'm rooting for this season. The subject doing well some-what depends on the success of the movie. So it is possible for me to think the subject will do poorly, but I will root for it either way.

This Year's Subject:

KPop Demon Hunters

KPop Demon Hunters is not even my favorite animated movie of the year. But I have developed a soft spot for Ejae, the singing voice for Rumi and songwriter for the movie. And I liked that we got to see the singing voices for Huntrix live. KPop already has a high chance at winning the Oscars. But I do not really trust the Grammys. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Frontrunners;

In addition to the target, I will also be tracking those whom I think (or at least aware of) are frontrunners for this years' race. I will be speaking on different categories. Me speaking on these subjects does not mean I'm rooting for them or even like them. It just means that I acknowledge the chances each subject has at winning. Obviously because we're starting so early, these predictions might not be accurate. But they are currently what I know and I will update if I have to;

Grammy Inclusion & Thoughts

So I told myself that I would only include the Grammys if KPop received one of the big nominations. I did not think It actually would, but obviously I was wrong. Golden did receive a "Song Of The Year" nomination. Do I believe it will win, no. But I am happy to see that It got recognized in one of the big categories.

Its only fair that I at least acknowledge some frontrunners in terms of the Grammys. As of now, the artists whom I see as frontrunners are;

-Doechii (Anxiety)
-Sabrina Carpenter (Man Child, Man's Best Friend)
-Bad Bunny (DTMF)
-Kendrick Lamar (Luther, GNX)

Pretty much all of these artists are nominated in the big categories. Like with the movies, me mentioning these artists does not mean I'm rooting for them or like them. This is just me acknowledging their possible high chances of winning.

Critics Choice is next, we'll continue this conversation then. Thanks For Reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

  American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
