Big Releases For October 2025

Movies of October;

 The Smashing Machine- Friday
So The Rock all of a sudden decided to try to actually act. Critics appear to like him, but are relatively mellow in terms of the movie itself. I'm curious to see if this moron has actual range, so I do intend on seeing this movie. It's kind of hard to say how it will do in the box-office. The Rock is a draw, but these type of movies aren't. I guess we'll see.

 Tron: Ares- Oct 10
This actually looks pretty cool. Though I am not a fan of Jared Leto (most people aren't), I do intend on seeing this movie. While the film looks cool to me, that doesn't automatically mean it will live up to its scenery. Critics weren't a fan of the previous Tron (which I personally liked), I don't expect this to be any different. Disney has been up and down with its box-office this year, so this could go either way.

 Roofman- October 10
I do not intend on seeing this movie. After being released at TIFF last month, critics appear to be pleased with this film, just not on a high level. I see this doing moderately well at the box-office, just not amazing.

 Black Phone 2- October 17
I didn't care enough to see the first one, so why would I care to see this one? Critics already seem to like this one, and I do see this doing decently at the box-office considering how much people liked the first one.

 Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere- October 24
Like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen did not need a biopic. But regardless, I do intend on seeing this movie. Again, critics appear to be fine with it, and they definitely like Jeremey Allen White (who's kicking butt right now). This will probably do fine at the box-office.

Frankenstein is another movie that comes out this month. But I feel like its hype has dialed down throughout the year. Thanks For Reading

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
