Big Releases For July 2025

July is kind of packed this year, so get ready;

 Jurassic World Rebirth- Yesterday

I have not seen this yet, I'm most likely gonna see it with my aunt. God-honest truth, I have never seen the original Jurassic Park, but I have seen Jurassic World and I liked it. The others after that, I have not seen. And judging by their bad reception, that's probably for the best. Critics already have mixed feelings about the movie. I see the audience seeing this for a fun night out, but that doesn't automatically mean it's gonna make a billion dollars or anything.

 Superman- July 11

The wait leading up to this movie has been an emotional rollercoaster. I intend on seeing this, but I'm really scared for it. This film is without a doubt going to be a box-office draw. If it isn't, that'll be a huge surprise. Critics do seem fond of James Gunn, even after the industry tried to cancel him. So I would not be surprised if that is the case here. I guess we'll see what happens.

 Smurfs- July 18

Why The Hell did Hollywood feel that we needed another Smurfs movie? The first 3 were bad enough. I am going to see this even though I know it's going to SUCK! Critics didn't like the first 3 and I don't see that changing for this one. Audiences might tune in as this looks like a cute movie to take your kids to see. But you never really know.

 I Know What You Did Last Summer- July 18

Like the Smurfs, we did not need another one of these movies. I haven't even seen the original and I'm not even sure if I care enough to see this. I'm not sure how critics are going to feel about this and this is likely to be a fun summer movie for audiences to see.

 The Fantastic Four: First Steps- July 25

The MCU is obviously trying to compete with Superman. And given how much Thunderbolts underperformed, they really need to nail it with this movie. The movie in my opinion looks decent and I do intend on seeing it. I'm not really sure where critics will stand on this, but this is most likely more box-office appealing than Thunderbolts.

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
