Big Releases For June 2025

I can't believe we're halfway through the year already. That was fast. Anyway, let's talk about some movies;

 Ballerina- Friday

Me and my aunt are seeing this on Sunday. She doesn't think much of it, but I personally think this looks cool. I doubt this movie will be as good as the original franchise, but I guess we'll see what happens. If this movie is able to successfully translate a female-centered spin-off of John Wick without being condescending towards Baba Yaga, then I see this getting acclaimed. If not, that's Hollywood's own fault. I do see this being a box-office draw though

 How To Train Your Dragon- June 13

This might be problematic. I will admit that it looks good in my opinion so far (not to mention the franchise's original director and Gerard Butler's return helps a lot). But at the same time, Hollywood live-action adaptations are normally disrespectful for a reason. I am going to see this and this is definitely going to draw more people at the box-office than Snow White. But that doesn't automatically mean this will sit well with critics.

 Elio- June 20

This looks fine, nothing special. It definitely looks cute enough for families, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was a box-office draw. With that being said, Pixar is very unpredictable these days, so I don't want to say critics will love this nor do I want to say critics will hate it either. I do plan on seeing this, though not out of interest.

 F1- June 27

As of March 2025, this is now my most anticipated movie of the year. And I'm SCARED! I want this to be good SO BAD to the point where I consider the Rotten Tomatoes scores 89 and under to be lackluster (though I'll still see it regardless). The trailers look amazing, but looks can be deceiving. I'm not going to say my predictions for critics or box-office because that will make me too nervous. Please, Please, PLEASE Be Good!πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬

 M3GAN 2.0- June 27

I haven't even seen the first M3GAN, so It should come as no surprise that I'm not seeing this. I probably should though. This is definitely gonna do good at the box-office, but you never really know what could happen with the critics.

Thanks For Reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

  American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🀣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
