Big Releases For May 2025

It's my BIRTHMONTH! But enough about that, let's talk about some new movies. And this month is PACKED;

Thunderbolts*- Tomorrow

I have been debating on whether or not I want to see this and I think I will. Critics are already praising this and we're still waiting on the audience response. If anything I don't really see this bombing, but you never really know with Marvel these days.

 Final Destination Bloodlines- May 16

I actually watched the Final Destination series for the first time earlier this year. They are RIDICULOUS but entertaining. I do intend on seeing this. And I also see this drawing audiences as the previous ones did. Critics will most likely have a mixed response to this, either that or SUPER negative.

 Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning- May 23

Oh boy, this is a big one. Giving how impressed I was with the previous Mission Impossible, I am curious to see how INSANE this one will probably be. With that being said, of course I'm gonna see this. I would gladly see it for my birthday if it didn't come out 2 days after. I have NEVER seen critics hate on this franchise, and I highly doubt this will be any different. Box-office on the other hand, the last one did struggle due to it being released when Barbenheimer was gaining popularity. That might not be the case now though. We'll see.

 Lilo & Stitch- May 23

I have seen the original version multiple times. It's sad as HELL. This is obviously coming out the same day as Mission Impossible, but giving the HORRID box-office of Snow White, I doubt this is competition. Granted this not as controversial as Snow White, in fact this movie actually looks pretty good in my opinion. This will probably gain an audience (or at least a bigger audience than Snow White), I just don't see it as competition for Mission Impossible. I'm not really sure where critics will stand on this. I do intend on seeing this movie.

 Karate Kid: Legends- May 30

I am not seeing this. However, I do see this drawing a relatively moderate audience due to the nostalgia of having Jackie Chan return with Ralph Macchio. For me this is more of an "is" or "or" with critics. I do not believe this will be hated, but I don't see it being a critical darling either. I guess we'll see what happens

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
