American Idol 2025 Day 7: Ladies Night

Last night, our contestants participated in 'Ladies Night', at which everyone performed a song in honor of notable women in music with a little help from Miranda Lambert. Oh and Abby Carter returned too. While this isn't really the contestants' fault, last night was a little bit of a disappointment. And here's why........

We lost another 2 people and they are as follows;

Kolbi Jordan- was already on her last leg
Canaan James Hill- the one time he doesn't do a worship song

Obviously I'm not feeling too great about Canaan's departure, and this marks the end of the 'Platinum' contestants

Okay let's rank;

#8: Josh King

Rolling In The Deep- Adele
This might be a problem

#7: Mattie Pruitt

The House That Built Me- Miranda Lambert
Get It Together Man😡

#6: John Foster

Something To Talk About- Bonnie Raitt
He's fine, that's it

#5: Slater Nalley

Whoever's In New England - Reba McEntire
Had some good moments

#4: Thunderstorm Artis

When We Were Young- Adele
Adele actually had several covers last night

#3: Breanna Nix

Water Under The Bridge- Adele
Great job! Really embraced her inner Adele

#2: Jamal Roberts

Undo It- Carrie Underwood
Nice hat

Best Performance: Gabby Samone

I Was Here- Beyonce
Hate the song, but good job

Not looking forward to tonight. Thanks For Reading

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

  American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
