Red One & The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I present to you, a Christmas Double Review. Red One centers on The Rock and Captain America trying to find J.K. Simmons (Santa) after he's been kidnapped. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is obviously based on the book of the same name and of course involves throwing a Christmas pageant with some of the worst kids in existence.

Red One

This was a very strange movie. I don't hate it as much as others do, but I see why people hate it. I will admit there were some parts that were a little too ridiculous and I didn't laugh as much as I would've liked. Also, with all due respect to Kiernan Shipka, she was not a good casting for the main villain. Her performance just didn't work for me. She wasn't intimidating at all, and she still looks like a child. I'm sorry but I just could not take her seriously. But I also feel it had some heartwarming moments as well, particularly involving Chris Evans' character and his son. I wouldn't say this movie was good, but it's not the worst either.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I absolutely loved this movie. I actually read this during elementary school and completely forgot about it. Not only was the movie incredibly heartwarming, but it was also hilarious. And I of course appreciate the spirituality in the movie; why Jesus was sent down here in the first place, witnessing the Nativity Story for the first time (and what a true experience that can be), and the significance of being and thinking like Jesus even when everything else around you (sometimes even within the church as much as it kills me to say that) tells you otherwise. I really enjoyed this movie, considering it's from the same person who created The Chosen that's not really surprising

Continuing on this conversation of Jesus' birth, I also watched the movie Mary recently. Because I'm not exactly sure how I feel on the dramatic license that was used for the movie, I will not be reviewing it. I'm conflicted on whether or not I should be concerned about it. I'm also a little conflicted over it's accuracy as well. I don't trust my judgement. And because this is obviously a biblical matter, I don't wanna take any chances of supporting the wrong side. So I won't review it. The only other movie I refuse to review this year is Dune. Check out my Facebook post through the link down below. Thanks For Reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
