A Real Pain & The Six Triple Eight

Here we have yet another double review. A Real Pain stars Jesse Eisenberg (who's also the director) and Kieran Culkin as 2 Jewish cousins who take a trip to Poland to visit the house and concentration camp of their dead grandma. The Six Triple Eight on the other hand stars Kerry Washington and was directed by Tyler Perry, centering on the struggle and eventual accomplishments of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

A Real Pain
A Real Pain was good, but I will admit that I wasn't blown away by it. I guess my expectations were just a little bit too high. Culkin (who will always be Roman Roy to me) was probably the best thing about the movie and is probably gonna win a Supporting Actor Oscar. Eisenberg was good too, and his direction was surprisingly better than I though it would be (for a semi- newcomer anyway). Overall, good movie. Just not great.

The Six Triple Eight
So Tyler Perry had 3 movies come out this year, and normally he sucks at his job. That was definitely the case with Mea Culpa and Divorce In The Black; so Why The HELL Was This Movie Actually Good!? Not only was Washington phenomenal in this, but Perry's direction was actually well paced. The movie is not perfect, but it's sure as Hell WAY too good for a Tyler Perry movie. Also, these women are entitled to our respect.

Thanks For Reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
