A Complete Final Review

I’m not really a fan of Bob Dylan. I’ve got nothing against him or anything, I’ve just never particularly cared for his music with the exception of one song (Make You Feel My Love, and even that is mainly because of Adele). With that being said, Hollywood is relying a little too much on biopics lately, especially this year given 2 not-so-great ones were released early 2024 (Back To Black and Bob Marley: One Love). So when a biopic about Dylan was announced, I was underwhelmed. So on Christmas, the Dylan centered biopic lead by Timothée Chalamet , A Complete Unknown was finally released.

The movie was fine, that’s pretty much it. I wasn’t amazed nor was I disappointed by it. It did what it needed to do, it showed its interpretation of his life and did it relatively decently. Dylan is a very strange dude, that’s my impression of him after watching this movie. I won’t deny that he’s talented, but also very strange, which I think is part of his charm as an artist. Chalamet did a good job, but that’s not really much of a surprise. The only other people who really stood out aside from him were Norton, Fanning, and Barbaro. The music sequences were very good, I honestly was unaware that Chalamet did his own singing. I’m very impressed by that (which says a lot considering I hate when non-singers try to sing). Not really a lot of negatives to be honest.

It’s a decent film, just nothing amazing in my opinion. This is my last review of the year and part 1 of my movies of 2024 will be released most likely next week (or later this week). Thanks For Reading and Happy New Year!

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
