Mea Culpa & His Three Daughters

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, I have come to you with another double review. We will first start with Mea Culpa, Tyler Perry's first attempt this year at making a Thriller centering on Kelly Rowland trying to prove a man innocent. The second is His Three Daughters, which centers on three sisters trying to take care of their hospice father during his dying days while also clashing with their different personalities.

Mea Culpa

To be honest, Mea Culpa was more lame then bad. But don't get me wrong, the movie still wasn't good, just surprisingly better than Divorce In The Black. There were a buttload of scenes that were supposed to come of as sexy, but came off cheesy and kind of stupid. And this movie was supposed to be a Thriller, but most of the thrills don't even happen until the end of the movie, and its attempts at being suspenseful were underwhelming. The acting was meh. Better than Divorce In The Black's, but still just meh.

His Three Daughters

This was really beautiful. The chemistry and strong performances of Coon, Lyonne, and Olsen (she'll always be Wanda to me) is really what held this movie together. But one thing I found very creative about the movie is that we don't even see the father until the very end of the movie. And when we do finally see him, he makes one Hell of an impression with a gorgeous monologue. And the constant sound of beeping throughout the movie was also very creative and extremely heartbreaking. This was really sweet.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
