Die With A Smile- Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars

The time has finally come for me to listen to Bruno Mars' other big collaboration. I will admit I didn't connect with this as much as I would like, but I won't deny it's a very accomplished song. The chemistry between Mars and Gaga is felt throughout the song and the lyrics are very affective. I say that because we hear lyrics like this all the time and they should come off as generic. But here, they're charming and passionate (which means the singers did a very good job with typical lyrics). I respect that.

 You Carried Me- Jekalyn Carr

So this is my second time reviewing Jekalyn Carr's work. Like the previous song we just talked about, this song is also very accomplished. It has many great qualities such as Carr's vocals and the harmonies (which I'm a sucker for). But I feel like it could've pushed just a little bit harder in some ways. For example, she just says "you carried me" most of the time throughout the song. In terms of bringing people to God, in my opinion it's not very affective. Maybe if it had a stronger hook or sung in a way that sticks, it would be stronger. But don't rely on strong vocals and singing the same thing over and over again.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
