Missed Songs

So here's a list of all the songs that I missed during my "break;

Let's start with Secular;

 Good Luck, Babe!- Chappell Roan

This is probably the most fun song I've heard all year. I like the retro vibe the song gives off and it works very well with the fluidity of Roan's voice. I don't really care enough to talk about the subject matter nor do I believe it is my place to speak on it. Overall, it is a very fun song.

 Birds Of A Feather- Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish is probably one of the weirdest artists in existence, and she continues to weird me out with this song. The reason I say that is because it is relatively light hearted, which is unusual for me to here a high-spirited song from her. The song itself is just......meh for me. I don't think it's bad, it's just not my cup of tea either (then again, I hate tea).

Worship;

 Up, Up, Up- Anthony Brown & group therAPy

This song has a lot going for it. The first being the harmonies, which are absolutely gorgeous (I'm a sucker for tight harmonies). The second being the message. It's been heard before, but it's very effective on this song. I would've liked the song even more if it elevated the harmonies just a little bit more than it did. Overall, this song is also just........meh

 Made For More- Josh Baldwin Ft. Jenn Johnson

This definitely sounds like a song my church would do. The song itself is fine. The main problem with it (as with most CCM songs) is that it's just too generic, hence the reason why I wouldn't look forward to singing it if my church ever does do it. The message is decent enough, just nothing special for me.

 Working For Me-Tamela Mann

I liked this song. Like pretty much always, Tamela sounds amazing and you can tell she means every word she's singing. My only complaint is that the opening banjo reminds me a little bit too much of Texas Hold 'Em (FIGHT ME!). But other than that, I actually liked this one. Tamela has done better, but I like it.

 Somebody Like Me- Caleb & John Ft. Cain

To my surprise, I also strangely like this one too. It's incredibly joyful and the message works very well with the tone of the song. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a good song to bring your spirits up. And (like with harmonies), I'm a sucker for songs that get you pumped about Jesus, and this is definitely a good song for that.

Thanks for reading.

  American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
