Big Releases For September

New releases for the month of September;

 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Friday

And here we have yet another unnecessary sequel or remake from Hollywood. However, apparently this is one of the few that's actually good as critics are already speaking highly of it. Now I have no intention in seeing this movie, I've never even seen the original. It might do fine at the box-office for obvious reasons, but I don't wanna jinx it.

 Speak No Evil- September 13

I have seen trailers for this almost non-stop. I don't know how critics or the box-office will respond to this movie. Though I would not be surprised if critics like James McAvoy, who's a very good actor. I myself have no intention in seeing this movie as it's too weird for me.

 Transformers One- September 20

Like the previous movie, I've also seen trailers for this movie non-stop. I don't really know how critics will respond to this either. Possibly mixed because we've seen this trope before (the villain and the hero starting off as friends then becoming enemies). Hell, they might do this trope better than Mufasa (which is set to come out in December of this year). I hate Transformers so it should come as no surprise that I have no intention in seeing this.

 The Wild Robot- September 27

Though not as frequent as the last 2, I've seen a trailer for this several times. In my opinion, this looks pretty cool. The animation looks incredible and I see this as a female version of The Iron Giant, which I have never seen (I should). I do intend on seeing this movie. It's possible it'll do well with critics, but you never really know. I don't really see this being a box-office draw, but again you never really know.

 Megalopolis- September 27

Obviously coming out the same day as The Wild Robot, Megalopolis so far has made quite the impression due to the trailer situation. I've only ever seen one Coppola film, and that's The Outsiders. Though I did like it, I have no intention of seeing this movie. Critics are already divvied on this movie and I have no idea if it has a chance at the box-office.

Thanks For Reading.

Discombobulated But Good

  I've always had an odd relationship with The Color Purple . I don't care enough to read the book, and some family of mine participated in a community production of the Broadway musical. I do like the original movie, but it's also EXTREMELY annoying due to some of it's subject matters. I saw the remake yesterday, and it of course centers on Celie Harris-Johnson and the struggles she's had throughout her life. The movie is all over the place in terms of it's writing, pacing, and it's music (and considering this was directed by the same idiot behind Black Is King,  I am not surprised). Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible. But there were times in the movie where I wanted more but got less, and in the times I wanted less, I got more than I would like. A lot of songs from the musical were cut in favor of new songs that weren't so great. The songs from the musical that stayed in the movie were arranged horribly. I also felt that the plot moved pret

Top 10 Signature Songs

  You know how an artists has that one song that pretty much defines their career and who they are as an artist? This is a list of those songs. Please keep in mind that just because an artist and their song is on the list doesn’t mean I like the song or the artist (especially the artist). It just means that I acknowledge the impact and importance of the song and/or artist. One song per artist. #10: The Real Slim Shady- Eminem Technically speaking, Lose Yourself is more notable than The Real Slim Shady . But I feel like this song really set the standard on who Eminem is as an artist. He pretty much hit the jackpot when coming up with such an iconic nickname, and Eminem presents it with so much personality, style, rhythm and aggression that it just works. I'm not even sure if it could have as much of an effect on people with someone else in the track. Only Eminem could make it work. Again I have nothing against Lose Yourself , in fact I love that song more than this one. But I feel

Deadpool: Marvel's Favorite Idiot

  Deadpool & Wolverine was probably the most anticipated movie of the year. With Disney taking over Fox and Deadpool joining the MCU , the time has finally come for the finishing result. Wade Wilson (portrayed of course by Ryan Reynolds) is offered to be taken out of his dimension in favor of the MCU. The only problem is his dimension is in the process of disintegration after the evens of Logan (😢) and Tom Wambsgans- I mean Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) decides to end its misery and destroy it instead of waiting for the inevitable. Obviously this doesn't sit well with Wade, so he turns to a more incompetent version of Wolverine (one deemed the "worst" Wolverine) to help save his dimension.  This movie was exactly what a Deadpool movie needs to be, stupid as HELL. Deadpool remains an idiot and his dynamic with Wolverine was very well paced. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's chemistry was very good and surprisingly very balanced. Both characters had their fair-share of
