Big Releases For July

I can't believe we're halfway through the year already. It felt like just yesterday we were celebrating the new year and I was talking about January releases. We have approached the month of July and it's time for new movies;

 Despicable Me 4- Tomorrow

As much as I LOVE the Despicable Me movies, Illumination might be squeezing the life out of this franchise by now considering this is the 4th movie in the franchise. I'm not saying end the franchise (sort of), but just be carful because I love this franchise. I'm hoping to see this with my aunt as a birthday present to her (she's probably Despicable Me's biggest fan). The movie is gonna due good at the box-office because the franchise as a whole is a box-office draw. Critics on the other hand are already divided on the movie.

 Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F- Tomorrow

With all due respect to Eddie Murphy, why did we need another Beverly Hills Cop movie? Though I'm probably not the best one to talk considering I have never seen a single one of the movies and I don't care enough to see this one. The movie will be released to Netflix. I expect critics to look at this in a similar manner to Bad Boys.

 MaXXXine- July 5

The X franchise has made quite a name for itself these past 3 years. This served as one of the most anticipated Horror movies of the year after the success of X and Pearl. I do expect this to be a box-office draw. Critics, though declaring this the weakest film of the franchise, appear to have taken a liking to this film. I have no intention in seeing this film as I am not a Horror movie person.

 Twisters- July 19

Like Beverly Hills Cop, I'm not quite sure why Twister needed a sequel. But I do like the 1st one and I do intend on seeing this one. I'm not really sure how critics will look at this film considering the 1st one got mixed reviews. Same goes for the box-office. Also, more Glen Powell. Nice👍🏾

 Deadpool & Wolverine- July 26

Possibly the most anticipated movie of the month (and maybe the year), I'm not even sure if Logan has enough patients to deal with Wade's stupidity😂. I do intend on seeing this movie, but I'm not really sure where I stand in terms of critics. Box-office on the other hand, this movie might possibly blow up because people love Deadpool and he hasn't been ruined by Disney yet (same goes for Wolverine). Though this movie might be the nail in the coffin, you never know with Disney nowadays.

Other notable movies include Fly Me To The Moon, and Dìdi. I do intend on seeing Dìdi. Thanks For Reading

Last Minute Music Reviews

  So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
