American Idol Day 9: Adele Night

Yesterday, the Top 7 performed 2 songs; one that makes them dance, and an Adele song. We are now left with 5 contestants as 2 have been eliminated;

McKenna Faith Breinholt- I did say she would be going home soon

Julia Gagnon- well that was a surprise 😳

With Julia gone, Abi is now the only remaining platinum ticket (honestly, I had a feeling she would probably go the farthest out of the 3)

Time to rank;

Part 1: Songs That Make You Dance-

#5: Abi Carter

My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em' Up)- Fall Out Boy
She said she can't dance, and it was painfully obvious. She wasn't terrible vocally though

#4: Emmy Russell

Shut Up & Dance- Walk The Moon
Nerves got to her again and she somewhat missed the point of the assignment

#3: Triston Harper

T.R.O.U.B.L.E- Travis Tritt
Vocally he wasn't better than Emmy, but at least his nerves were under control. And if he keeps dancing he's gonna make my heart explode from over-exposure to adorableness 😂

#2: Will Moseley

Gimme Three Steps- Lynyrd Skynyrd
That was probably his most fun performance

#1: Jack Blocker

Long Tall Sally- Little Richard
The dude finally tops a list

Part 2: Adele Songs-

#5: Triston Harper

Easy On Me
Not the right song for him

#4: Emmy Russell

Water Under The Bridge
She was a little awkward to me

#3: Will Moseley

Rolling In The Deep
I would've liked it more if the note were higher

#2: Jack Blocker

One & Only
Back to second place

#1: Abi Carter

Hello
Perfect song choice

More next week. Thanks For Reading

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

My Top 10 Best Movies Of 2024 (Part 2)

So, now it’s time for the best list. This is obviously a list of what is in my opinion, the best movies of 2024. Before anything else, just a quick reminder that I have chosen not to review or rank the films  Mary  &  Dune: Part Two   due to my conflicting feelings on them. So you won’t see either of those 2 on this list. If you would like an explanation for 1 or both movies, there are 2 links down below. If there’s an acclaimed movie you were expecting to see on this list that you didn’t see, check out my “Movies You Won’t See” post through the link down below.  #10:  The Bikeriders God-honest truth, the main reason I saw this movie is because of my soft spot for Austin Butler. Though definitely not the strongest movie, this was really good. Its strong points were the performances and the twists. While Austin wasn’t THE standout, he did do a really good job and truly embraced his inner James Dean. The standout however was indeed Tom Ha...
