American Idol Thoughts: Day 1

So here's a new activity that I would like to do for this blog. I am a singer, and I have been watching American Idol for as long as I can remember. The show is definitely not what it used to be (and I say that in a neutral way). But honestly I don't care, I'll gladly take it over The Voice. So starting today, I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best. Though this will be starting next week. Today I will simply be speaking on the Top 24 and my thoughts on each one.

The show recently choose it's Top 24 for the live shows, and they are as follows;

Jordan Anthony Odell Bunton Jr. (Platinum Ticket)

 Nya                     Blake Proehl

 Triston Harper       Roman Collins

Kaibrienne "KB" Richins Jack Blocker

McKenna Faith Breinholt Mia Matthews

Emmy Russell                  Will Moseley

 Ajii                                         Kayko

Elleigh Marie             Kennedy Reid

 KBlocks                                Abi Carter (Platinum Ticket)

Jayna Elise                            Quintavious

Hailey Mia                       Jennifer Jeffries

Mackenzie Sol        Julia Gagnon (Platinum Ticket)

Here's a division of where I stand on these contestants in the form of Loves, Likes, and Meh/I Don't Cares:

Loves-

Odell Bunton Jr.- This dude can SANG!!!!!!

Triston Harper- He won me over during Hollywood week

KBlocks- Lacks in vocals, makes up in personality

Likes-

Nya- Pretty modern for a Broadway chick

Blake Proehl- If he perfects his craft, he'll be great. Plus he's my age 💓

Roman Collins- I'm a sucker for church boys

Kaibrienne "KB" Richins- She's good but she worries me. Her dad is adorable though

Jack Blocker- Odd but good

McKenna Faith Breinholt- Soft but good

Will Moseley- Big guy, big voice

Ajii- Same as Will

Kayko- Please get over your imposter syndrome

Abi Carter- I understand why she got the ticket

Hailey Mia- Mature voice for her age

Julia Gagnon- Needs trimming, but talented and I understand her ticket

Mackenzie Sol- He's a sweetheart 😊

Meh/I Don't Care-

Jordan Anthony- He's fine, that's it

Mia Matthews- Improving but slightly innocent

Emmy Russell- Due to the legacy of her grandmother, she worries me

Elleigh Marie- She kind of boring

Kennedy Reid- Meh but probably the most improved

Jayna Elise- Talented and sweet, but voice is generic

Quintavious- I want to like him but he comes off strange to me

Jennifer Jeffries- She's boring

Oldest Contestants- Odell and Nya (28)

Youngest Contestant- Triston (15)

Best Girl- Nya

Best Boy- Odell

Favorite Contestant- Odell

Starting next week, I will be ranking each performance from worst to best. If a song I feel uncomfortable with is covered, I will skip the ranking and just say the best and worst performance. Once people start going home, they will not be included in the ranking.

Thanks For Reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
