American Idol Day 4: Top 14

So last night, Idol choose it's Top 14 to mostly heartbreaking results in my opinion. 6 contestants were eliminated and they are as follows;

Quintavious- Bye

Kennedy Reid- Bye

Jennifer Jeffries- Surprised but not upsetting

Ajii- Bummer

Mackenzie Sol- Falsetto was his downfall

Odell Bunton Jr.- Really upset about him. I believe song choices was his downfall and I'm really scared for him now due to his living situation

Anyway, here's today's ranking. And because most of the vocally challenged people are gone now, from this point on it will be my least favorite to the best.

#14: McKenna Faith Breinholt

Tumbleweed- Nowhere Man & A Whiskey Girl

She was kind of boring

#13: Mia Matthews

Burning House- Cam

She was fine, that's it

#12: Nya

Water- Tyla

Least favorite performance from her so far

#11: Abi Carter

My Mind- Yebba

She was fine, that's it

#10: KB Richins

Zombie- The Cranberries

She sang fine, but the song is WEIRD

#9: Kayko

What If- Original

Are you over the imposter syndrome now?

#8: Jordan Anthony

Attention- Charlie Puth

He did better with this song than I expected

#7: Julia Gagnon

Need A Favor- Jelly Roll

Shaky but she sang the HELL out of it

#6: Will Moseley

Gone For Good- Original

He was good, but not great

#5: Triston Harper

'Til You Can't- Cody Johnson

Not bad. But in comparison to his other performances, boring

#4: Emmy Russell

Skinny- Original

You got the goods, please relax

#3: Jayna Elise

All I Wanted- Paramore

Her best performance in my opinion

#2: Jack Blocker

Feeling Whitney- Post Malone

Great as always

Best Performance Of The Night: Roman Collins

It's A Man's World- James Brown

He's probably going home next week though 😔

More next week. Thanks for reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
