Big Releases For January

The first releases of the new year. Like every month I will be addressing notable releases of the month, my personal thoughts on how they might do, and whether or not I will see them. I will only be speaking on 2 movies for today.

 The Book Of Clarence-January 12

This movie was actually released last year at a festival, however it will be released internationally next week. Set in Jerusalem during biblical times, a dude named Clarence attempts to turn his life around by capitalizing the rise of Jesus. I will not see this movie as I do not trust any type of biblical movie in Hollywood with today's climate. If someone I know and trust sees it and approves of it (most likely a family member), I may change my mind, but I highly doubt that will happen. Critics already approve of this movie, so it might do well at the box-office (not that critics are the main draw to a movie, but it helps).

 Mean Girls- January 12

I have seen the original Mean Girls once or twice, and I do like it, I just don't hold to high regards like others. It of course centers on Cady Heron and her attempts to survive high school after being homeschooled for most of her life, which is a difficult tasks when it involves Regina George. As you can see, this comes out the same day as The Book Of Clarence. Unlike Book Of Clarence, I probably will go see Mean Girls out of curiosity. I'm not exactly sure how critics are gonna feel about it mainly due to the trailer kind of rubbing people the wrong way. This might do decently at the box-office mainly due to the iconic status of the original.

Thanks For Reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
