Big Releases For November

So if you remember about month ago, I said I would be addressing some of the biggest releases of each month, box office/critical reception predictions (wrong or right), and whether or not I will see the movie. This post obviously addresses the biggest releases (in my opinion) for the month of November.

 The Marvels- November 10

The first time I saw a trailer for this was either on Youtube or when I saw Guardians 3, and it made me want to puke. I did see the first movie, and it was fine, but that's it. I don't like Captain Marvel as a person. She's an arrogant jerk who thinks she's entitled to everything. Same goes with Brie Larson, who's pretty much playing herself with superpowers. The only difference with this one is she's bringing 2 more of her minions with her. So it should come as no surprise that I have no intention in seeing this movie. It's also not a surprise that I'm happy to hear that this movie may or may not do the greatest in the box office, at least that's what I've heard.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes- November 17

I think I also looked this up on Youtube, mainly out of curiosity. I have only seen 1 of the 4 Hunger Games movies, being the first one, which was pretty good. And I would like to watch the others. With that being said, I don't have any interest in seeing this movie. Partly because I don't care enough to, and partly because I dislike 2 of it's actors for similar reasons to Brie Larson. I do suspect that it will probably do well in terms of box-office due to the original franchise having a history of having good and/or great box-office performances. It also helps that It does have a pretty star-studded cast, despite my dislike for 2 of them.

 Wish- November 22

I only watched 1 trailer for this. Personally, I think it looks pretty good. The animation looks gorgeous and in one way not Disney's typical CGI (minus the main protagonist's big eyes). Despite having a dislike for one of the actors (which seems to be a recurring thing for this month), and hearing some not-so-great rumors involving this movie being "unfinished", I wouldn't mind seeing this movie, and I probably will on Thanksgiving. In terms of box-office and critical reception, It might do well in terms of critics as I keep hearing that this is Disney "going back to its roots", but you never know what could happen. I don't really know what to say about its box-office though.

 Napoleon- November 22

I have actually never seen a trailer for this movie. There are some, I've just never cared enough to see them. If the movie is easy enough to find before New Years, I'll watch it. If not, forget it. This one is being released to streaming, so there is no box-office. In terms of critics, I'm not really sure. They're probably gonna like Joaquin, because he's Joaquin and he's EXTREMELY good at what he does. But other than that, I don't know.

Other notable releases are Rustin, Maestro, and Good Burger 2. But I wouldn't say there the biggest releases. Anyway, thanks for reading.

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
