Equalizer 3 Was Good. Just Not Great

So last week I saw the final film of the Equalizer franchise. Like both John Wick and Mission Impossible, I did not watch any of the films prior to this one and I now have to make an effort to watch the first 2. Acting king Denzel Washington finds himself in an Italian small town of friendly people. Unfortunately for them, they are being terrorized by a mafia group known as the Camorra. So it's up to Denzel to bring this to an end.

The 2 best things about this movie; Denzel of course, and the action. I was pleasantly surprised at how good (and gory) the action was. Not only was it well choreographed, but the way it was filmed was EPIC. Particularly towards the end of the movie, where the lighting was used in a way to portray Washington as some kind of shadow of death. I apologize if I sound creepy, but that was the impression I got from one scene. It was AWESOME and easily the best scene in the movie. Aside from him killing people, I won't necessarily say what else happens in that scene as it is a spoiler.

In terms of flaws, I feel like they could've done a lot more development between Washington and Dakota Fanning. Don't get me wrong, they had a relatively nice dynamic and you can't duplicate what they had in Man On Fire, which was an AMAZIING movie. It's just that at the same time, they could've done a little bit more with their relationship as a callback to Man On Fire. They worked together for a short while, then something happened to Fanning and she was absent for almost the rest of the movie until the very end (hopefully that's not too much of a spoiler). There just wasn't enough development between the 2.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this movie. I just wish I didn't see it so late. Thanks for reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
