Billboard Return

So last week I did not post a weekly commentary as #1 for both sides did not change and there's not point in talking about the same songs over and over again. This week however, there are new songs. So here we go.

First Person Shooter- Drake Ft J. Cole

I actually really like this song. This is the second time so far I've spoken about Drake, with the first being with Slime You Out. Personally I prefer this one over Slime You Out as the melody and the beat to this one is a BANGER! If you ever need a song to just hype you up, this is a good song for that job. One flaw I do have with the song though is that a little over halfway through the song, it completely changes the melody as if it were a different song (kind of similar to Sicko Mode accept that one changed 1 minute into the song). But overall, I highly recommend this song.

 I Believe God- Jekalyn Carr

I am not familiar with Jekalyn Carr, this my first time listening to her music. It's fine enough, just not great. To me, she's basically saying the song title over and over again. And I'm not saying that's always a bad thing. It depends on the message of a song, especially in worship. If you're really saying something that not only glorifies God but speaks to others whether inside or outside of the church and repetitiveness is the best way you can do it, then go for it. I know a lot of gospel songs like that. But, if you're just saying the same thing and adding more power just to make yourself sound good, then it's a problem. This song is more in between.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. Thanks for reading.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
