My Amazing Introduction To Mission Impossible

My apologies to all fans of this franchise, but I have never seen any of the other "Mission Impossible" movies, this is my first. I had nothing against them, In fact I've always thought they looked kind of amazing. I just never cared enough to actually watch them. Basically, I saw this to expand my film knowledge in hopes that it makes me a better writer.

So basically, Ethan is dawned with the tasks of getting a key that controls an incredibly powerful AI known as "The Entity". Unfortunately, the entire world is after this key as whoever gets the key basically rules the world, though this thing is more manipulative than everyone (except our main characters) thinks. Ethan basically has to deal with Community agents, an old enemy, a professional thief and a mind-game playing AI throughout this entire movie.

I apologize if my summary isn't to great, I don't really know how to explain this movie without spoiling it. With that being said, this movie was great. Completely action packed from beginning to end, but I pretty much expected that. What impressed me the most about the movie is that even in the mellow parts of the movie, you're still at the edge of your seat. The acting was so well done and the writing was so intriguing that you couldn't help but feel every emotion that each character was going through. Very well done. Not that the action itself wasn't great. In fact, it was kind of amazing. But it stressed me OUT. I will never understand how anyone was able to deal with this for 7 movies straight without having a heart attack. I would complain about the pacing, but as we got deeper into the movie, I realized that the pacing was needed for the impact on the movie as well as the characters and it truly added to the build up of certain moments in the movie. So I'll leave the pacing alone

I really enjoyed the characters. I understand the appeal of Simon Pegg as he was hilarious. Grace was problematic but likeable, especially towards the end. Ilsa was cool, and I now understand the full extent of Ethan's awesomeness as well as his humanity. Gabriel I wanted to punch in the face. "The Entity" maybe unseen, but it was a very compelling villain. It's ironic that the whole world wants to control it, but the movie made it clear that it was in control. This thing was playing mind games with everyone. It made everyone question what was the right call and It knew people's weaknesses (especially Ethan's, which put the people he loves at risk).  Even Gabriel, who thought he was in control was being played by this thing. Literally almost everything it thought was going to happen came true. I am genuinely afraid of this thing and I'm not even sure if I wanna know what it's gonna do in the next one. DO NOT screw with "The Entity"!

This was a great movie, and I now have to give the other ones a shot. I most likely will not watch all of them cause there are way too many. But it's still worth a watch. Thanks for reading.

First Day Of 2024/2025 Awards Race

It is about that time of year again where Hollywood gives out its most prestigious awards to most of the time the least deserving. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna pay attention like always. But this year we will be shaking things up a little. Allow me to explain; Here's How This Works: Each year, I will have a target subject I'm rooting for this season. When the nominations for each award show are announced, I will do a small commentary on whether or not the subject has a chance of winning. However, this year instead of focusing on just the target, I will also be focusing on those I think are frontrunners in different categories for the season as a whole, whether I'm rooting for them or not.  I will most likely say a last minute thought the day before the award show. I will be tracking down all the way up to the big dogs: THE OSCARS. The Awards: We will be focusing on 5 awards; -The Golden Globes -The BAFTA's -The Critics Choice -The SAG Awards and Of Cour...

Red One & The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I present to you, a Christmas Double Review. Red One centers on The Rock and Captain America trying to find J.K. Simmons (Santa) after he's been kidnapped. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever  is obviously based on the book of the same name and of course involves throwing a Christmas pageant with some of the worst kids in existence.  Red One This was a very strange movie. I don't hate it as much as others do, but I see why people hate it. I will admit there were some parts that were a little too ridiculous and I didn't laugh as much as I would've liked. Also, with all due respect to Kiernan Shipka, she was not a good casting for the main villain. Her performance just didn't work for me. She wasn't intimidating at all, and she still looks like a child. I'm sorry but I just could not take her seriously. But I also feel it had some heartwarming moments as well, particularly involving Chris Evans' character and his son. I wouldn't say this movie was good, bu...
