John Wick 4 (and a little bit of the first)

So I saw my first John Wick movie with my aunt. This is probably gonna be brief .

Mr. Wick has been a bad boy, and is now on the run from the high table, with it's most notable assassins being Caine (Donnie Yen), and Mr. Nobody (Shamier Anderson). They only way to really get out of this is to challenge the big baddie Marquis (Pennywise, I mean Bill Skarsgård) to a traditional duel in exchange for his freedom if he wins.

So while the fighting scenes were good (REALLY good, and many times GREAT) they seemed a little slow to me. My aunt noticed that as she mentioned to me that the fights from the previous movies were a little more clean. After watching the first movie last night, I understand what she means. Plus that didn't take away from the movie as a whole, I'm just picky.

Donnie Yen was by far the best part of this movie. No only was his character a total BOSS, but it's hard not to root for him even though it's hard to tell who's side he's on. But we know either way that he's just trying to keep his daughter alive. It's hard to hate someone for that.

Just a quickie on the first, I did like the first movie and now I've got 2 more to go. And overall I did like the forth. I just probably should not have saw it before the first 3.

American Idol 2025 Thoughts: Day 1

American Idol  has officially reached its live shows so that means it's time to start the commentaries. For those of you who didn't track these last year, here's an explanation; I will be saying my thoughts on the contestants and their performances. In typical 'me' fashion, I will rank each performance to #1. But unlike my normal lists, this will be from worst to best.  This will be starting the following week as today is just an introduction. Our Top 24 has been chosen and they are as follows;     Canaan James Hill (Platinum)             Gabby Simone  Zaylie Windsor                         Mattie Pruitt  Thunderstorm Artis                  Drew Ryn  Che                                     ...

Introduction

Bio My name is Naomi Marie Elidios Chadwick. I was born in San Diego, California, but I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I pretty much have a traditional family, which involves happily married parents, 1 younger sister, and an older brother. I was raised Christian, and I continue to practice Christianity to this day. This is not a spiritual blog but some of the content that I post is influenced by my faith. Every now and then I will post Christian content as well, just not always (except with Billboard ). The picture you see up above is me at the airport with my father after I graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC after 10 months of community service. In response I received a congressional award for community service. I've always been really proud of that. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (a form of Autism) around the age of 6, but I was not informed of my diagnosis until I was 12. I'm very into movies and television (animation especially), and pop culture as a whole, and I...

What The Hell Did I Even Watch!?!🤣

I think ever since Lady Gaga's performance in A Star Is Born , musicians have been trying to jump in on the band wagon. The Weekend is one of those musicians who's trying, and failing miserably. First he tried with The Idol , and we all saw how that crashed and burned. And now he decided to turn his newest album Hurry Up Tomorrow into a movie, where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Oh yeah, Jenna Ortega and  Barry Keoghan are in this too.  The Weekend is obviously on this vendetta to prove to people that he can act, and it's getting kind of pathetic. The movie is just.....not good.  There's barely even a plot, it's just an elongated music video that involves The Weekend crying too much. Now, I will give him some credit for actually trying this time (unlike in The Idol ). But unfortunately, instead of coming off as a troubled musician, this felt like I was watching one of the 3-5 year-olds my mom deals with at her job. I'm aware that this movie was in...
