Quantumania Review

On the day before the Oscars, me and my sister went to go see Marvel's new movie "Ant Man & The Wasp: Quantumania". To be honest, I don't really have much to say about this movie so this might be brief.

So Scott Lang and the van Dynes pretty much move on with their lives after the events of "Endgame", however, little did Scott know that his slightly annoying little girl Cassie has been trying to contact the Quantum Realm via machine. Janet panics and turns it off, only for it to suck everyone back into the realm. There they discover that Janet screwed up, BAD!  During her time in the realm, her and some random dude were trying to help each other get out by kick starting his machine, only for her to discover that he's a ruthless dictator. So she traps the random man (who is identified as Kang) in the realm by enlarging his machine, however this leaves him to dictate everyone in the realm. The group also ran into "old friend" Darren Cross, who's now just a giant head. So now everyone has to take down Kang while also trying to find a way home.

So let's state the obvious, Jonathan Majors is easily the best part of this movie. Not only was he a good villain, but his acting was fantastic. And he's really been kicking but lately, so good for him.

The only other thing I really liked about the movie was Scott and Cassie. As I mentioned earlier, Cassie's kind off annoying. But at least she knew she messed up. And it's obvious these 2 love each other and Scott will do anything for his baby. Seriously, DO NOT mess with his baby, or you will probably DIE!

Personally I thought the movie was okay. Not bad, not good, just okay. There was nothing that really pissed me off about the movie, it's just not up to Marvel's normal standards, which is upsetting. However, the movie did leave me and my sister with a sense of worry that their time with Kang is not over yet and that something horrible is going to happen. I think Cassie's gonna die. She did die in the comics, so I wouldn't be surprised. So Scott's probably gonna unleash HELL, which I would like to see.

So.......The Bride😕

So I was completely off-track with The Bride . Did not expect the film to crash and burn as hard as it did with both critics AND the box-office. After getting murdered, a woman by the name of Ida is brought back to life with the intention of being a companion to the oh-so iconic Frankenstein. And together they wreck havoc. Like Wuthering Heights , the movie wasn't terrible but it had a lot of problems. The biggest issue with this film is that it tries way too hard to be edgy and it just doesn't work. It wanted to be this hardcore feminist take on Frankenstein , but it just felt convoluted and slightly underwritten. It had this plotline involving Ida causing some revolution for women and did pretty much nothing with it until the last minute. It was kind of a let down. The best thing about the movie however was the performances and chemistry between Buckley and Christian Bale. I thought they were strangely endearing, and this might be a better love story than Wuthering Heights  (...

Last Minute Music Reviews

So here are some last minute reviews of songs that I've heard over the past few months that did not reach #1;   Where Is My Husband - Raye This is incredibly fun and strangely catchy. While this is not officially a jazz song, this obviously has jazz influence and it works very well for this song. I will go ahead and admit that this is my introduction to Raya, I have not listened to Oscar Winning Tears . So far, I'm intrigued.    Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson This song is kind of AWESOME. Not only is the production GORGEOUS, but it also has a very nice hook that goes smoothly with Larsson's voice. My sister actually recommended this song to me and I see why. Larsson does currently have a Grammy nomination for this. She's gonna lose, but I'm glad this song got recognized. If my sister see's this, thank you.   How It's Done - Huntrix (From KPop Demon Hunters ) I have been meaning to review this for a while, but I kept getting lazy. Like Golden , this song has g...
